Home Run for Journalism

This was a night for us all here at the ANSE Reynolds Institute, to kick back and have some fun with our learning experience.

It was very nice of the professionals, staff and institute to provide a lovely dinner followed by a game of Wii in The First Amendment Forum of the Walter Cronkite building tonight. The screening of "All the President's Men" in the Cronkite Theater was a nice final wrap for the night.

The institute has provided us with wonderful hotel rooms, air fare, state of the art equipment, awesome guest speakers, great food, interesting entertainment and social time to collaborate with peers and professionals.

Not only are we gaining the skills to be better journalism teachers, but we are making connections that will last us a life time.

Tonight, Mr. Christopher Callahan, founding dean of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism said, "You don't find many programs like this one."

He is absolutely right!

The special touches and hands on approach are giving the journalism teachers here a unique medium to learn, grow and rekindle their passion for teaching.

We are all going to take these skills, tools and resources back to our journalism students.

This is defiantly a grand slam of a program!

Thanks,
