Yesterday, after we were released to work on our reporting story and interviews, I immediately hopped on the light rail to the Arizona School Board Association (ASBA) to interview Tracy Benson, Media and Communications Specialist for the Arizona School Board Association. Not only did she help me to narrow my topic by answering my questions and discussing the topic, but also to help guide my idea even further.
Starting with the interview first seemed rash and maybe unconventional but it really worked for me.
The session on opinion writing was also helpful because I ended up turning my story idea into an opinion piece after yesterdays notes.
The video editing was a challenge I will admit but a healthy challenge none the less!
