I have to admit that I have never seen this movie before tonight. (I thought I Love Trouble with Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts was the quintessential journalism movie!) Really, can you find two better actors than Redford and Hoffman? What a cast! I'm sure I would have enjoyed the movie without knowing the "inside scoop," but, I have to say, that the talk from Doig and the discussion from Downie really helped me get into this movie. I can't wait to show ATPM to my students next year (and to give them the "scoop" too.)

You "scooped" me on this blog..LOL! I enjoyed the movie too. I even found myself looking in the background of the newsroom to find the actor portraying Downie.

I think I spotted some of President Nixon's men in OUR audience tonight. I couldn't get a good picture of them but one was smoking in the dark!
